# Pi

Minimal coding-agent harness you reshape: extensions, skills, AGENTS.md, SYSTEM.md. 15+ providers. Session trees. No MCP or plan mode in core — those are packages. MIT.

Pi is a thin coding-agent harness. Interactive TUI, print/JSON, RPC, SDK. Switch models mid-session. Sessions are trees — branch, rewind, /share. Context is yours: AGENTS.md, SYSTEM.md, on-demand skills, custom compaction.

What it skips on purpose: MCP, sub-agents, plan mode, permission popups, todos, background bash. Install a package or have Pi write the extension. curl -fsSL https://pi.dev/install.sh | sh, or pnpm add -g @earendil-works/pi-coding-agent.
